Cozy cottage located in the center of town, but set back enough from the traffic and noise. Very quite location. Furnished to a high standard and it is clean and comfortable. Parking was tight, but we did manage every day to get in the bay at the back of the cottage with no problem. Facilities were good. Some 'high touch' items have been removed, so make sure you pack an iron and hairdryer if you need one ! First time to the lakes, beautiful this time of the year. Check in and out were both very smooth, communication is excellent from both Tim and Kim. We would return and are happy to recommend to others.

Lovely break in a lovely cottage and the owners could not have been more helpful re checking in etc.
Only reason for not 10’s across the board was the parking which was a little tricky but manageable and as there was 4 of us, a second toilet would have been useful.

This cottage is a great place to use as a base to explore the lakes. We went off hiking and rock-climbing every day. The rather unique feature, though, is that it is located in central Windermere town, literally 30 metres from the high street, with Coop, Sainsburys, ice cream shops, bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed that aspect, and found ourselves popping out to the high street all the time, for shopping, breakfast, dinner and ice cream.

The location is perfect for restaurants or for access to other parts of the lake district. Clean, well looked after cottage and the fabulous welcome pack was a lovely touch.

We were the first to stay post lockdown so a bit apprehensive given the circumstances. All surfaces etc were sanitised, all necessary precautions were taken. We had a very nice stay.

Lovely little cottage well equip and close to amenities. The only thing that we would suggest would be to give the small outside space at the back of the property a little makeover.

Great position in a lovely village - everything in Windermere in your door stel and Bowness about 20 mins' walk. Parking easy for two cars. One bathroom for 6 guests meant it took a while to get through showers after activities but we knew that was the case. We'd definitely return. Thanks.

18 in the corner is a lovely cottage perfectly located in a quiet street but only seconds from the shops and restaurants.
It has everything you would expect and is also much bigger than it appears in the pictures. The owners communication was really good and they answered questions we had very quickly... We will definitely be booking again!!

Had a lovel few days in this beautiful home. Great time had by us all to celebrate husbands 50th Birthday. We ate at the lamplighter and Porto restaurants and many of the great pubs and bars. We ill certainly use this great location for our base next time we come back to the Lakes. Thank you :)

We have enjoyed a lot, our stay in this lovely cottage. Upon arrival we felt at home immediately. Over the last 10 days we have made 18 in the corner our base camp for hikes, shopping and driving through the fabulous Lake District.
Every time we arrived back home, we could check on the maps where we have been. The kitchen was well used by us and is very complete. We appreciated the coffee machine a lot.

Love the cottage. My daughter was delighted with her room (double on top floor) and we loved the homely feel and open fires. Very well kitted out and the maps on the walls look great and are useful.

I have a lovely time at Lake district and 18 in the corner which gave me a good mood, was really nice, especially the bedroom at 2nd floor is my favourite.

We had a very nice stay at 18 in the corner. The house is fully equipped and comfortable. We hiked to Bowness, took the boat and walked to Wray Castle and Hill top. Walked to Orrest Head for magnificent views there.

18 in the corner is a great place to stay and we enjoyed visiting Bowness, Ambleside and Grasmere. There are plenty of beautiful places to walk from this cottage.
The cottage is well equipped and we had everything we needed. The welcome pack was great too and the 14 yr old female in our group loved the LUSH products. Coffee pods fab too!
Weather has been fantastic so no need to try out the beautiful fire! Next time!

18 in the corner is a lovely cottage. It is extremely conveniently located and accessible for supermarkets, a short walk. Tim has well accessorised the place very thoughtfully with almost all requirements such as washing machine, dishwasher, umbrellas, local info, welcome pack, kitchen utensils etc.
The place is very neatly done up and very little can be done to improve.
Overal a very nice place and should be recommended to other users.

This location is prefect, close to all the shops and cafes. While we were here we visited Grasmere for Gingerbread, we went shopping in Ambleside and we went to the Blackwell House, which was beautiful. The cottage itself is cosy, clean and well equipped - we love it! Thank you for having us x

However, due to having Charlie we were unable to stay at our usual hotel and needed to be somewhere more central. The cottage did not disappoint! Beautiful and cosy and full of lovely touches. We are just finishing three nights at this lovely place, my husband, son and I have never been to the Lakes and had a great time. We met our Scottish friends here for a reunion. Jen and I were friends at a hotel in New Jersey in 1989 and have been friends ever since!Our summers are very special events and this was the perfect backdrop/setting!
Everything was very comfortable and the location makes eating out without much/any plans easy breezy!

Have been coming to the Lakes for many years and this is the best property yet. The owner has put lots of care and attention into this lovely cottage to make their visitors feel welcome and at home. Very well equipped, love the open fire in living room and the welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely touch :)

Lovely cottage within the town of Windermere. Owners have gone that extra mile to provide everything you might need for your stay. Easily contactable if any issues and very attentive. Pre-arrival information pack is excellent and arrival pack of tea, coffee etc. is a lovely gesture. As Windermere is a busy town parking can be an issue but parking space to rear of property and availability of a local resident parking permit meant there were no issues whatsoever for us during our stay. Cottage itself is cosy and comfortable, WiFi excellent (we had 2 teenagers with us). Would definitely look to stay here again if coming to the lakes and would recommend to friends and family. Overall excellent.
